Sheila Zuehlke

President, Z-Cube LLC. Former Major General, United States Air Force

Sheila Zuehlke is President of the cyber security and intelligence consulting company, Z-Cube, LLC. Ms. Zuehlke also serves on a number of boards, focused on cyber security and defense. These prestigious boards include the Office of Secretary of Defense Reserve Forces Policy Board, which is an independent adviser to the Secretary of Defense on strategies and policies, and which was created to enhance effectiveness of the military reserve components. Ms. Zuehlke also serves as a subject matter expert for cyberspace operations and cyber security on the Homeland Defense Sub-Committee for our country. In addition, she serves on the Advisory Council for the Center for Cybersecurity Engineering and Technology, at the University of San Diego.  

Prior to Z-Cube, Ms. Zuehlke’s enjoyed a 34 year career in the United States Air Force Reserve, serving as Major General and Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, 24th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber; enabling her to oversee a multi-billion dollar cyber enterprise,  which maintained and defended the Air Force portion of Department of Defense global network. Before her 2017 USAF retirement, she served as Senior Reserve Advisor to the Commander, and U.S. Cyber Command Director for the National Security Agency.

Previously, Ms. Zuehlke founded and ran Dragon Research and Engineering, a firm specializing in applying emerging software technologies to create rapid prototypes and software solutions for issues facing the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.  She also led the Intelligence and Software Development business operations for Booz Allen and Hamilton’s San Diego office.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii. 


In addition to serving in the United States Air Force, Ms. Zuehlke founded and ran a software development company, Dragon Research and Engineering, specializing in applying emerging software technologies to create rapid prototypes and software solutions for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community problems.  Prior to establishing her company, she led the Intelligence and Software Development business operations for Booz Allen and Hamilton’s San Diego office.

 

Ms. Zuehlke is currently a member of the Office of Secretary of Defense Reserve Forces Policy Board, an independent adviser to the Secretary of Defense on strategies, policies, and practices designed to enhance the capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness of the military reserve components.  Ms. Zuehlke is a member of Homeland Defense sub-committee and serves as the board’s subject matter expert on cyberspace operations and cyber security.  She is also Chairman of the Board for a non-profit training service dogs.  Ms. Zuehlke serves on the Advisory Council for the University of San Diego Center for Cybersecurity Engineering and Technology.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii.

 

When not working, Ms. Zuehlke spends her time caring for her parents who live with her in San Diego, CA.
